Re-energized IAB B2B Committee Ups Its Game in 2015

How Small Businesses Can Become Ad Ops Leaders

With a growing roster of over 150 energized members and new co-chair leadership, the IAB B2B Committee galvanized into action in 2015.  A confluence of factors contributed to this including heightened emphasis and advancements in digital data/targeting, growing use of native advertising/content marketing, and a desire to better understand the mobile marketing space.

We bid adieu to Frannie Danzinger as co-chair as she moved onto 6sense, an IAB Associate member, as Head of Market Development (co-chairs must be General members per IAB by-laws). We thank Frannie for her dedication, thought leadership and enthusiasm as co-chair over the past two years and we look forward to her taking on other leadership roles within the committee moving forward.

The committee organized two Town Halls at the IAB AdLab:

1. Winning Strategies for B2B & Native Town Hall – June, 2015

Led by the B2B Committee in partnership with the Native Advertising Task Force, a Town Hall was held covering a wide range of pertinent B2B/Native topics including benchmarks, social listening, DMPs, programmatic and content distribution. Following the Town Hall, a networking reception was hosted by Madison Logic featuring the signature Madison Logic cocktail. Many thanks to our gracious sponsor. A nice time was had by all.

Co-chair Louis Moynihan then penned a recap of the event which was sent to all attendees and committee members.

Lastly, we formally announced the three new co-chairs in November. Please extend a warm welcome to this enthusiastic trio who represent a wide spectrum of B2B digital advertising interests:  Andrew Goldman of LinkedIn, Louis Moynihan of DemandBase and Steve Suthiana of Fast Company & Inc. Media.

The committee will meet on February 17 at the IAB AdLab to set the agenda for the 2016 year. Members can register for the meeting here. We’re looking forward to great output from this passionate and growing group.
