Organized around Tech Lab’s “Project Rearc” broader industry response, IAB Tech Lab and IAB UK will host technical conversations that provide perspective on how consumer-centric “Privacy by Default” principles affect the identity and addressability landscape. Via a set of curated conversations with leading product and engineering leaders, we’ll dig into implications for specific components of the supply-chain, including the future of privacy tools and specifications, the role of identity and identifiers as trading currencies, and the evolution of audience targeting and measurement in the “new normal”.
Tech Lab Virtual Open Forums provide 90+ minutes of interactive discussion, panels, and deep dives into the technical details of our industry and are geared towards developers, engineers, product managers, product owners, UI/UX, data scientists/engineers, CTOs, and product enthusiasts. As the Chief Connectivity & Ecosystem Officer at LiveRamp, Travis Clinger leads activation partnerships spanning martech, commerce, customer service, along with the company’s global digital advertising ecosystem strategy: driving strategic initiatives, advancing global partnerships, and overseeing the business development and go-to-market strategies for key addressability and activations products and initiatives.
Gillian leads the strategy to drive revenue of Epsilon’s industry leading data assets across all digital channels, encompassing business development, marketing, product development and strategic partnerships. Her team is responsible for building and creating the largest self-reported database in North America, Shoppers Voice. She also leads the Epsilon Consumer Insights team, which conducts customized market research projects on consumer U&A insights, segmentation, tracking studies, performance measurement and thought leadership.
Gillian is a business and marketing professional with 20+ years experience in strategic planning, business management, product management and people development. Experienced in both digital and traditional marketing disciplines in multiple verticals, including CPG, DTC, finance, pharma, retail and telco. Her work experience includes CPG brand management, healthcare marketing, consumer insights and consumer data product management.
Rachel Wolan is a seasoned product executive, bringing over 18 years of experience in SaaS product management, engineering and analytics. Rachel is currently the VP Product for Applications and User Experience at LiveRamp. She owns a diverse, global portfolio of products with a $300mm+ P&L across targeting, measurement, analytics, data partnerships and TV.
Prior to LiveRamp, she was the Head of Product at Euclid (acquired by WeWork, backed by Benchmark) and Talkdesk (backed by Salesforce Ventures, DFJ). Before that, she spent several years in product and engineering roles at Facebook, HP and Say Media. She received a B.S. in Education and Computer Science from Northwestern University and an M.B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley.
Stephanie Hanson is the Offering Manager of OneTrust, the most widely used privacy, security and governance technology platform. In her role, Hanson oversees the OneTrust Platform’s products across web, mobile and OTT/CTV, working with emerging and enterprise companies on best practices to drive engaging user experiences and build trust while demonstrating compliance across 100s of global data privacy regulations, including CCPA and GDPR. Hanson has publicly spoken on a variety of privacy, security and marketing topics, providing deep insight into regulatory issues and practical approaches to marketing compliance for advertisers and publishers. Hanson is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (FIP, CIPP/E, CIPM) and holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
As General Counsel & Chief Privacy Officer, Amy leads all legal, compliance and privacy functions at Lotame, and is instrumental in informing the product roadmap from a data privacy perspective. Amy is a recognized senior leader with 15 years’ experience advising executive management and business leads on industry-disruptive technology and digital innovation, and data analytics initiatives in all company lifecycles — accelerated growth, mid-market expansion and company turnaround — at companies such as comScore, Dataminr and Zenimax. Amy is Co-Chair of Communications of the Law Department Management Network of the Association of Corporate Counsel, appointed as a board member to Duke University Alumni Association, and recently completed her term as co-chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA). Amy holds a Juris Doctorate degree from Duke University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from University of Chicago.
Daniel A. Sepulveda is the Senior Vice President for Policy and Advocacy for MediaMath, a global advertising and marketing technology company. He represents MediaMath on public policy issues in public forums, before government officials and agencies, in industry associations, and in dialogues with consumer organizations and civil society working on technology and the digital economy. He also works with teams across the company on special projects including Purpose Driven Advertising, political advertising, and media supply chain issues.
Sepulveda served in the Obama Administration at the State Department as Ambassador and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State and U.S. Coordinator for International Communications and Information Policy from March 2013 – January 2017. Prior to joining the State Department, Sepulveda served as a Senior Advisor to Senator John Kerry from 2009 – 2013 working on technology, telecommunications, trade, and economics. From 2004-2008 Sepulveda was a senior legislative aide to then-Senator Barack Obama on the same issues and also advised his presidential campaign.
Before joining Senator Obama’s office, Sepulveda worked for Senator Barbara Boxer, a member of the Senate Commerce Committee. Additional prior work experience includes service during the Clinton Administration at the U.S. Department of Labor and at the National Council of La Raza (NCLR). Mr. Sepulveda received a Master of Public Affairs from the Lindon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin as a Woodrow Wilson Fellow in Public Policy and International Affairs and holds Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from Emory University.
Grant is a Product Manager for Privacy & Identity at TripleLift. Prior to his role at TripleLift, Grant was a product manager for privacy and identity at AppNexus/Xandr. During his tenure there, he helped clients navigate the impact of privacy regulations including GDPR and CCPA and worked hand-in-hand with the engineering team to bring to market consumer-facing privacy portals. Grant started his career in adtech as a privacy lawyer and transitioned to product management to be closer to solution building. Grant holds a B.A. in Political Science from Baylor University and a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School. He currently resides in the Washington D.C. area with his wife and son. Julia Shullman is the General Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer at Telly, the world’s first dual-screen smart TV fully paid for by advertising.
Prior to Telly, Julia was General Counsel & Chief Privacy Officer at TripleLift through its $1.4B acquisition by Vista Equity Partners. Prior to Telly, she held various leadership positions at AppNexus (Chief Privacy Counsel + Lead Attorney, Publisher Technology Group), through its $1.6B sale to AT&T. Prior to advertising, Julia spent a decade in mergers & acquisitions at both Latham & Watkins and UBM. She is widely recognized as an industry leader at the intersection of privacy, product, advertising, policy and strategy.
Julia is passionate about helping organizations navigate privacy’s impacts on the digital ecosystem and find opportunities where many only see risks. Industry leaders regularly turn to Julia for her holistic, hands on, technical, pragmatic and strategic perspective. She is also the Founder and Principal of Shullman Advisory Services.
As Vice President of Product at Index Exchange, Mike leads all Identity efforts at Index Exchange, focusing on unlocking people-based buying for publishers and buyers on the open web. In addition to Identity, Mike also oversees all of Index Exchange’s header bidding and reporting solutions. Mike also serves as a board member of the Advertising ID Consortium.
With over 14 years of experience in online advertising, Mike has led initiatives across different disciplines, including sales and currently, product.
Prior to joining Index Exchange, Mike was the Director or Product Strategy at Criteo.
Alex joined Tech Lab in early 2020 after 7 years at Xandr (formerly AppNexus) where he lead multiple product and engineering groups to deliver a broad range of successful ad tech products. Alex stood up Xandr’s Privacy product and engineering capability in 2018 and since realized digital privacy is the area of advertising where he can make the most impact to the industry and consumers. Alex believes Tech Lab–with its global reach, technology focus, diverse membership and trade group relationships–is uniquely positioned as a place where he can leave a positive lasting mark on privacy.
Ben is Director, Data & Ad Effectiveness within IAB’s Data Center of Excellence. He leads IAB projects within its automation, identity, measurement/attribution groups, and works with leading ad technologists, agencies and publishers to identify and navigate some of the most pressing opportunities and challenges within these verticals. By developing best practices, research, white papers, and thought leadership in collaboration with IAB members, Ben helps improve and facilitate digital media buying and selling via automated tools, software and data.
Prior to joining the IAB, Ben was Associate Director, Digital Trading at GroupM where he oversaw programmatic strategy, measurement / optimization, ad operations, and private marketplace relationships across Nestlé 85 brand US portfolio. In this capacity he was responsible for building and “productizing” the Nestlé Trade Desk (NTD), an independent programmatic buying unit developed specifically to service Nestle brands. Prior to his work on Nestlé, Ben held positions at both Maxus Global and Universal McCann where he helped lead the development of programmatic and measurement/attribution strategies for large global brands including MasterCard, Barclays, Harvard Business School, and Welch’s.
Ben received a B.S. in Communications and Entrepreneurship from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and resides in Brooklyn, NY.
