In today’s digital advertising industry, a deep understanding of the complex technologies and data flows that underpin the industry is crucial. Privacy lawyers, privacy product managers, risk officers, compliance managers, and those drafting commercial contracts must possess a solid foundation in how technologies and platforms work to deliver personalized and non-personalized ads. This includes everything from the inner workings of bid requests to the firing of pixels in ad creatives. To design or implement a privacy compliance program, or negotiate representations and warranties (as well as indemnification) without truly understanding what happens to personal information when it traverses the digital ad distribution chain, is a critical challenge. This workshop aims to bridge the critical knowledge gap by providing participants with the insights necessary to navigate this intricate landscape.

Rowena brings years of experience in product development of ad-supported casual games on mobile and web. Most recently, she led product at Jump Ramp Games where she was responsible for the strategic direction and vision of the consumer-facing mobile apps. This included the development and launch of several games, supporting internal tools, and ad monetization services. In addition to product leadership, Rowena also has a background in digital marketing. In her spare time, Rowena enjoys trying out new recipes and traveling.
Shaun Lichti is the Head of Consent & Preference Solutions at Transcend, where he leads product and strategic initiatives for the company’s industry-leading consent and preference management products. Pairing his technical expertise with deep knowledge of privacy regulations and requirements, Shaun ensures that Transcend’s offerings meet and exceed the evolving needs of businesses and compliance requirements. Before joining Transcend, Shaun drove product marketing, demand generation, and analytics strategies at leading B2B data and SaaS companies, including Entertainment Partners and Dun & Bradstreet.
Jared joins the IAB Tech Lab team to support the product development of privacy and addressability standards. Prior to joining Tech Lab, Jared spent the past decade at Dstillery and Permutive building products for both the buy and sell sides of the advertising ecosystem. Jared is a native Philadelphian with a shameless passion for the Eagles and all things Philly sports, and attended the University of Maryland which turned him into an avid Terrapin fan. In his spare time, you can find Jared in the mountains skiing, hiking, or camping.
