Mobile and the Movies Study

With some of the most anticipated films of the year about to hit the box office, the IAB Mobile Marketing Center of Excellence and InMobi released “Mobile and the Movies”, a study of how moviegoers interact with their mobile screens in order to better enjoy the big screen.

Findings include:

  • Men are more likely than women to use mobile data for key movie-related activities.
  • Mobile is very important to regular movie goers. 70% have used their mobile at least once in the past 6 months, and 30% use their mobile most or all the time when they pick a movie.
