2009 Full-Year IAB Internet Advertising Revenue Report

Internet advertising revenues (―revenues‖) in the United States totaled $22.7 billion for the full year of 2009, with Q3 2009 accounting for approximately $5.5 billion and Q4 2009 totaling approximately $6.3 billion. Internet advertising revenues for the full year of 2009 decreased 3.4 percent over 2008.

Highlights include:

  • Revenues Decreased 3.4% in 2009 — Internet advertising revenue in the U.S. totaled $6.3 billion in the fourth quarter of 2009, an increase of 13.8 percent from the 2009 third-quarter total of $5.5 billion, and an increase of 2.6 percent from the 2008 fourth-quarter total of $6.1 billion.
