As a Head of Agency at Facebook Jason partners with agencies to help them navigate the digital landscape, drive growth, and deliver meaningful business outcomes for their clients. Prior to joining Facebook, he was the SVP of Performance Marketing at Mediavest, where he led the delivery of performance media solutions, including SEM, SEO, Paid Social, and eCommerce for clients such as P&G, Honda, Sprint, Coca-Cola and Citibank. Prior to Mediavest, he spent 9 years at Microsoft Advertising, flirted with traditional media, and cut his teeth in management consulting. He received a B.S. from MIT and an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business and is also passionate about giving back, currently serving on the board of directors of the New Jersey Ballet.
Karen is responsible for global client support at DoubleVerify, which includes customer on-boarding and training, as well as implementation and ongoing account management. Prior to joining DV, Karen led Client Services at About.com where she managed a national team of Account Managers. Previously, she was Vice President of Ad Operations at Move Inc., which operates realtor.com, the largest real estate site on the web. Karen brings over 20 years of sales, customer service and operations experience to her role as CCO. She earned her B.A. in Mass Communications from Tulane University.
Patrick is the Vice President of Global Agency Development at Facebook. He leads a team responsible for driving education, advocacy and strategic partnerships with the world’s largest advertising agencies and consulting firms. Prior to joining Facebook, Patrick was the US Director of Search at Microsoft where he set the tactical direction and go-to-market strategy for Microsoft’s top ad agency partners. Before Microsoft, Patrick led Business Development for Reprise Media, a leading search engine marketing firm since acquired by Interpublic Group. Patrick’s digital marketing career started in 1999 where he led East Coast sales activities for Ask Jeeves (now Ask.com, an IAC company). Patrick earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of San Diego. He currently resides in Westport, CT with his wife and two daughters.
Joe Pilla joined the IAB in Summer of 2018 as Director, Data & Automation within the IAB Programmatic+Data Center. In his role, Joe works closely with Orchid Richardson, VP, Managing Director on a variety of projects related to data transparency, attribution modeling and the changing consumer experience.
Joe brings a wealth of diverse media experience to the IAB from his accomplished career in advertising research and consumer insights. Previously, Joe was Vice President, Social Insights at Zenith Media where he led the Social Intelligence practice providing clients with data analysis related to their brand environment, online conversation and campaign performance. Joe spearheaded several agency thought leadership initiatives covering a wide spectrum of topics including brand integrations, the rise of Influencer Marketing, shifts in consumer behavior, and the relationship between televised tent pole events and Social Media channels.
Prior to Zenith, Joe was the Associate Director of Media & Consumer Insights at Mindshare where he led the adoption of The Loop, the agency’s global operating system linking real-time multimedia insights to real-time actions. Naturally curious, Joe excelled at developing the annual US Consumer Trends presenting the agency perspective to clients nationwide. Before making a move to the agency world, Joe honed his storytelling expertise at Condè Nast, Meredith Corporation and Reader’s Digest where he mastered syndicated research bringing the magazine consumer to life.
Joe earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Marketing from Rutgers University. He lives in Long Island City with his husband Kevin Davis, AIA. Joe sits on the board of SuperCommunityLIC, a local organization celebrating the local community while finding ways to give back. In his spare time, Joe produces his YouTube Channel “Pop Culture Monger” dedicated to the latest entertainment news with the tagline nonsense to follow.
