As part of the 2019 NewFronts in New York City, IAB is highlighting the decision makers, shakers, and movers having an impact in the digital advertising and media industry. Read about Carl Fremont, Business Development, WPP:
Bewitched Beginnings
I wanted to work in an ad agency ever since I saw Darrin Stephens presenting his advertising ideas on Bewitched. I’m probably one of many who felt that way.
Seeing Myself
The “You Don’t Have to be Jewish” campaign for Levy’s Bread that I saw on the subway when I was a kid really connected with me because that was my heritage.
A Unique Notion
My first job was at Ted Bates, who came up with the Unique Selling Proposition. Some of the classic advertising of the ‘60s and ‘70s was born out of that notion.
Glimpsing the Future
I’m glad that my career has spanned so many years because if we look to the past, it provides a glimpse into where we should be going.
Finding Connections
Looking at content, creativity, and technology all connected together is what inspires us to do new things.
Finding Inspiration at the 2019 NewFronts
I look at the NewFronts as not just what content is being produced, but how we are continuing the classic way of storytelling in new formats. For me that is very inspiring.
Hitting Pause
The NewFronts are a pause for us in our day to day because we rarely have the time to come together and talk about what is going on in the marketplace.
Walking New York
I have lived my whole life in New York, and I still try to find new ways to go. It’s like, okay, I haven’t been on this street before. Let’s go down it and see what’s happening.
