For this guide, IAB Sweden has chosen to stick to the following definition: “Digital Audio includes advertising-based services that are distributed to consumers through Internet-connected platforms.” Their definition covers commercial entities:

Digital audio is often categorized as music, radio or podcasts, but the differences are getting smaller and today there are music services that offer radio, radio programs packaged as podcasts and podcasts focusing.
