On Friday, April 8, IAB was honored to have Congressman Danny Davis (D-IL), a member of the Committee on Ways and Means, join a group of IAB members for a roundtable discussion in downtown Chicago about the industry and related policy issues.
Illinois is home to many of the digital advertising industry’s most innovative companies and the industry is playing an increasingly important role in driving economic growth and employment across the state. For example, Chicago today has the fifth most tech jobs of any city and the third highest growth rate in tech employment.
As a member of the House Ways and Means Committee, Congressman Davis plays an important role on issues important to the digital advertising industry, including taxes and international trade. In addition to providing the Congressman information about the online advertising industry, participants of the roundtable discussion had the opportunity to share with the Congressman information about their company, their perspectives on these issues, and highlight their impact on the digital advertising industry in Illinois, the nation, and around the globe.
