2004 Half-Year IAB Internet Advertising Revenue Report

Internet advertising revenues (“revenues”) in the United States totaled nearly $4.6 billion for the first six months of 2004, with Q1 accounting for $2.23 billion and Q2 totaling $2.37 billion. Internet advertising revenues for the first six months of 2004 increased 39.7 percent from the same period in 2003.

Highlights include:

  • Revenues Post Record Results – Internet advertising revenue in the U.S. totaled $2.37 billion in the second quarter of 2004, marking the seventh consecutive quarterly revenue increase. Total revenues for the 2004 second quarter increased 6.2 percent from the 2004 first-quarter total of $2.23 billion, and 42.7 percent from the 2003 second-quarter total of $1.66 billion.
