The goal of the UGC for Advertising Working Group is to create a UGC Buyer’s Guide.
Potential areas to explore include: consensus of the definition of UGC; best practices for moderation, curation and aggregation; first-party data capture; republishing and receive buy-side feedback on the final guide prior to publishing.
More brands are realizing the effectiveness and efficiencies of using UGC as part of their advertising; however, as of now, there are no industry nomenclature or knowledge around best practices related to things like usage rights/risks, brand safety, data transparency, etc.
