On June 23-24, IAB brought together 50 small publishers from 20 states to visit Capitol Hill for the IAB Sixth Annual Long Tail Alliance ‘Fly-In’.
Members of the IAB Long Tail Alliance joined IAB in the nation’s capital to meet with members of the U.S. Congress and their staffs to give legislators and policymakers a better, fuller understanding of the challenges and concerns facing online entrepreneurs and the negative impact that legislation and regulations may have on their livelihoods and businesses. Since most of these smaller digital companies are dependent on advertising revenue, the policies that impact digital advertising have a direct link to their livelihoods. By convening members of IAB’s Long Tail Alliance, the IAB can show policymakers the real difference that these small businesses are making in the field.

IAB has arranged for breakfast at The 201 Bar, next to the Capitol. Attendees who depart Washington later that day may check their bags at The 201 Bar for convenient pick up.
Your day of advocacy gets underway as you divide up into teams for individual meetings with members of Congress and their staffs. Each team will be assigned a “chaperone” to help you make your way around the Hill, as well as answer any questions you might have.
Teams will gather for lunch in the Capitol Visitors Center cafeteria at different times based on their meetings schedule. Lunch will be provided courtesy of the IAB.
