2016 has been an extraordinary year for Digital Video Advertising with revenues reaching $9.1B for 2016, a revenue gain of 53% across mobile and desktop. It’s no coincidence 2016 is dubbed the year of Mobile, as for the first time, mobile ad revenue surpassed that of desktop. Mobile Video proved to be a direct contributor to this growth, showing an extraordinary increase of 145% in revenue, reaching $4.2B*.
May was also the month for the Digital Content NewFronts and the release of several studies**, which show the great momentum in Digital Video Advertising.
With this as a backdrop, IAB’s Digital Video Committee will meet on May 25th to present the measurement grid, initiatives currently underway at IAB and what’s needed to help support this continued growth.
