Alex Kubo is the VP of E-Commerce & Marketing at Burrow, a start-up that’s reinventing the furniture industry. Burrow’s mission is to offer clever, comfortable, and long-lasting furniture to satisfy the evolving needs of the modern consumer. In 2018, Burrow opened a flagship showroom in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood, was named one of the 10 most innovative retail brands in the world by Fast Company, and the Burrow sofa was named of the 50 best inventions of the year by TIME. Alex joined Burrow in 2016 as the co-founders were graduating from Y-Combinator and led all of the company’s growth initiatives through launch in April 2017. As the VP of E-Commerce & Marketing, he brings a data-first approach to Burrow’s innovation, product development, e-commerce optimization, and strategic marketing and operations initiatives. Alex has a B.S. from Lehigh University and an M.B.A from The Wharton School. A lifelong Manchester United fan, Alex enjoys watching European football on the weekends with his wife, Ashley, and son, Kai.
Amy Lanzi oversees Publicis Media’s Commerce Practice in North America. In this role, she is tasked with product and talent development for the region as well as accelerating and connecting commerce practitioners from across the global Publicis Media network.
During her time at Publicis Media, Lanzi has trained 200+ employees; identified and crafted commerce-focused partnerships with current Publicis Media partners such as Google, Facebook and Amazon; and secured new relationships with Commerce enablers such as Target Media Network (TMN) and Kroger.
Colin Spillane is the Head of Retail at Lovepop, creator of unique, laser-cut pop-up cards and gifts. As Lovepop’s first non-founder employee, Colin built the company’s retail program from the ground up, and has since led the development of over 30 small format and specialty retail experiences across the US.
Jackson Wang has worked as a typographer, graphic designer, retail design director, creative director and group manager across USA, China and Singapore with over 26 years of professional design and executive management experience across Fashion, Automotive, FMCG and Beauty industry; company and brand such as Hallmark, Neiman Marcus, Ford Motor Company, Procter & Gamble. His achievement is not merely limited to the exercise of visual or style, rather it is an amalgamation of innovative design strategy and resourceful co-creation.
Jackson is currently Vice President of Retail Design for L’Oreal U.S.A., based in Manhattan. He leads L’Oréal Paris retail innovation across cosmetics, skin, hair, hair color visual communication, cognitive based retail innovation, seamless consumer to shopper experience and white space expansion.
