Prior to joining the Partnerships org at Meta, Chris was one of the founding members of the company’s Creative Shop which has grown into an industry-leading creative and strategic resource for top-tier marketers. His experience with AR goes back a decade to his tenure leading Global Digital Marketing for adidas. In addition to work, Chris is an artist, poet and practitioner of Zen Buddhism.

Kate Barrows is Vice President of Growth at Rothy’s, where she develops and implements strategy around customer acquisition, retention and growth at the fast-growing San Francisco-based company.

Before working at IAB where he leads research-based thought leadership initiatives, Chris was most recently VP, Analytics & Research at The Daily Beast where he spent nearly 7 years and was responsible for the tracking, analysis and reporting of The Daily Beast’s O&O site and off-platform data/analytics for Senior/Corporate Management, Editorial, Advertising Sales, Product/Engineering, Audience/Business Development, Social Media and PR. Chris has also held marketing and market research positions at Conde Nast and Time Inc.

Carlos Cashman is an MIT grad with a visionary mind, a huge personality, and an even bigger heart. Mr. Chen holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Georgetown University, a master’s of business administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and is a CFA charterholder. At the Wharton School, Mr. Chen was a recipient of the Jay H. Baker Retail Award for impact in retailing and was a co-founding president of the Wharton Retail Club. David Cohen joined IAB in April 2020 as President and was named Chief Executive Officer in September 2020. Cohen is a widely respected advertising agency leader who, prior to IAB, served as President, North America for MAGNA, Interpublic Group’s (IPG) centralized media intelligence, investment, and innovation arm. In this role, Cohen was responsible for more than $20 billion in media spend. During his tenure, Cohen structured and executed large global transactions on behalf of IPG and its clients, with such major IAB member companies as Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Spotify, Twitter, and Verizon Media.

Prior to MAGNA, Cohen served as Chief Investment Officer of UM, ensuring that digital innovation, data, and technology acumen flowed throughout the agency to drive performance. From 2001 to 2011, Cohen served in critical, transformational roles at UM during the explosive growth of digital advertising, including Chief Media Officer, Chief Digital Officer, and Executive Vice President, U.S. Director of Digital Communications. Jeffrey Cole has been at the forefront of media and communication technology issues both in the United States and internationally for the past three decades. An expert in the field of technology and emerging media, Cole serves as an adviser to governments and leading companies around the world as they craft digital strategies. He is Director of the Center for the Digital Future and a Research Professor at the USC Annenberg School.

Freddie Harrel is a Parisian-born fashion blogger turned beauty start-up founder. After starting her professional career with a short stunt in banking, she transitioned to the world of e-commerce. Since then, has spent time at leading companies such as Ogilvy, ASOS, Topshop, and Vestiaire Collective. Today, she is one of the few black women to have ever raised over $1m in funding. With a passion for cultivating community on a global scale, Freddie is leading RadSwan as a dynamic beauty brand catered to the needs and experiences of the global African Diaspora.

As head of revenue for IBM Watson Advertising, Jeremy Hlavacek is responsible for all global advertising sales efforts – including direct sales, programmatic sales, agency partnerships and data partnerships – across Watson Advertising’s portfolio of media, data, and AI-powered technology solutions, which includes The Weather Company’s consumer platforms such as weather.com and The Weather Channel apps. Watson Advertising’s offerings help agencies and marketers improve decision-making and reduce costs across key facets of the marketing lifecycle – from media planning through measurement.

Previously, Hlavacek was the head of global automated monetization. In that role, he oversaw all programmatic monetization efforts globally as well as the data partnerships team, which drives off-property data and inventory partnerships with platforms and other publishers. Hlavacek was promoted from vice president of programmatic, where he was responsible for all domestic programmatic sales efforts, platform relationships and programmatic operations. Under his leadership, the programmatic business grew 500% over a 3 year period to become one of the largest and most sophisticated sell side programmatic businesses in the industry. In 2017, AdExchanger ranked The Weather Company’s programmatic business as #2 in the industry among all publishers in media and broadcasting. Hlavacek joined Weather in early 2013 as vice president of operations and strategic partnerships for the company’s WEATHERfx division, where he oversaw technology partnerships and business operations to support the WEATHERfx business.

Prior to Weather, Hlavacek was vice president of strategy and business operations at Varick Media Management, where he helped to build one of the first programmatic trading desks on the agency side. He was responsible for strategic platform partnerships in the ad tech/real-time bidding ecosystem, as well as the business and financial operations of the company.

Sue’s 30 years of experience spans integrated media strategy, consumer insights, advertising/media measurement and team building.

While the majority of Sue’s career has been creating, supporting and measuring advertising initiatives for content providers like Viacom and Martha Stewart Omnimedia, she also spent two years agency-side to gain a broader and deeper understanding of the advertising space. And her earlier years included B2B media (Cahners Travel Group; Lebhar Friedman, Chemical Week). Sue has been hands-on and “neck deep” in Digital since the mid 90s.

Ashante is the VP, Account Director leading the US and global digital rewards platforms for Citibank at Publicis NY. As an account lead, she has enjoyed partnering with clients and internal teams to develop integrated brand experiences at both digital and traditional advertising agencies for a range of brands including Time Warner Cable/Spectrum, Walmart, Glidden Paint, Transition Lenses, Neutrogena, and Special Olympics New Jersey. Prior to that, she worked at Tiffany & Co in the merchandising division where she handled direct marketing, product category management, and e-commerce.

Currently Ashante is co-leading the She Runs It Leadership Development Committee-NY chapter, co-leading the Voices of Change Speaker Series for Publicis NY’s Citi team, and is an alum of the 4A’s Vanguard Fellowship program. Eric John leads IAB’s Media Center, a dedicated unit within the IAB whose mission is to simplify the video supply chain, providing best practices and education for brands, agencies, and media companies to drive continued growth through the evolving convergence of television and digital video. Eric drives the center’s efforts in the development of market-making research, industry standards and best practices and buyer/seller terms and conditions. Before joining the IAB, Eric led digital services and strategy at the Alliance for Audited Media and the MPA. Eric also served as global director of publisher marketing at Nokia, managing the company’s world-wide mobile app developer ecosystem. Prior to Nokia, Eric launched and led advertiser brand engagement solutions for Yahoo!, creating advanced, data-driven video, mobile and interactive campaigns for brands such as Pepsi, Loreal and Nikon. Eric began his career in internet advertising at DoubleClick (Google) where he served in business and product development within the DART for Publishers (DFP) and DART for Advertisers (DFA) business units where he launched the industry’s first post-click “Spotlight” measurement tools. Min-Jae Lee is the Chief Privacy Officer at Quantcast, where she is responsible for driving the company’s privacy-first approach and helping brands and publishers manage consumer consent. Prior to joining Quantcast, Min-Jae was Senior Director, Privacy Counsel at The Trade Desk, where she served as lead privacy counsel and oversaw the company’s global privacy program. Kristen M. O’Hara is a strategic and transformational leader who has driven growth and innovation for global enterprises in an increasingly digital, e-commerce, and data-driven economy. Claire Paull is the head of Global Marketing & Training at Amazon Ads. Charlene Polite Corley is Vice President, Diverse Insights & Partnerships at Nielsen and passionate about representation in media. As a part of the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Team she is responsible for thought leadership leveraging Nielsen data that enables the perspectives, needs and value of historically excluded groups to be more fully understood. In her current role, Charlene also collaborates with media industry and advocacy organizations to drive equity and awareness for diverse communities. Outside of Nielsen, Charlene is a founding member of the Washington, DC chapter of Chief, the private network for women leaders, event speaker, career mentor and adjunct professor. A graduate of Florida A&M University, Charlene now lives and works in Maryland with her husband and their son.

With over seventeen years of experience managing digital advertising campaigns, Orchid Richardson is the Senior Vice President of Digital at Blavity Inc., where she leads the growth of Blavity360º’s Black and multicultural publisher network, increasing revenue for all its members. Her experience as an expert data solution architect and integrator has allowed her to lead initiatives within many prominent media companies, entertainment networks, and publications during her career. Orchid has worked for several other media companies, including BET Networks, Hearst Magazines Digital Media, and 33Across, Inc. At the IAB, Orchid served as the Senior Vice President of IAB’s Programmatic and Data Center (PDC), where she defined the strategic vision and executed the PDC Board of Directors’ agenda. Orchid also established industry-wide standards and business guidelines for the responsible use of data that enabled relevant, personalized, and privacy-compliant consumer experiences. Orchid led industry-wide training on The Data Centric-Organization, providing direction on how to break down a matrix organization through four key areas – people, partnerships, processes, and platforms.

Orchid is actively involved in advertising, having held leadership roles in key industry trade organizations, including Coalition for Innovative Media Measurement and Black MAKERS. Additionally, she is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is Vice President of the Metro-Manhattan (NY) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, and the Westchester Chapter of Jack & Jill of America. Orchid also serves as a board member and fundraising chair of the Ujamaa Community Development Corporation, which has built over $100 million in affordable housing in Westchester County, New York. John has been a leader in digital media technology for over 20 years and brings significant experience and a long track record of success. He joined PubMatic in 2017 as VP, Engineering and was responsible for the product vision and technical execution of SDK and Unified Ad Server technology. In his current role of Chief Technology officer, John is responsible for establishing the company’s technical vision and positioning PubMatic for future growth.

John previously served as vice president of engineering at DoubleClick. At that time, DFP was a new product, with one customer. During John’s tenure, they experienced growth to over 3,000 publishers worldwide. In addition to delivering DFP, John was responsible for delivering DFA and DartMail. John was also in charge of the development for NetGravity’s on-prem ad server system after the merger. At DoubleClick, John began and grew the product management function.

After DoubleClick, John joined adMarketplace as COO & CTO, where he was in charge of product management. While there, John created and delivered eBay Keywords, in partnership with eBay. John then joined NYC-based ad network Undertone as CTO. At Undertone, John created the ad server to support their rapidly growing business. John also built and delivered the extensive video and rich-media ad system that Undertone was known for.

Prior to PubMatic, John was CTO at Vungle. At Vungle, a large CPI-based in-app video ad network, John was able to overhaul the infrastructure, enabling the company to fulfill its ambitious growth trajectory. John also delivered a new SDK that was MRAID compatible, providing the flexibility to empower the in-app video user experience.

John is a graduate of Columbia University.

Chloe Songer is the co-founder of Thousand Fell. She is focused on sustainability, championing the circular economy and ending textile waste – beginning with sneakers. Prior to joining dentsu, Brad served as a Media Manager for Henkel in which he oversaw the North America Beauty omni-channel media portfolio.
