Changing Moods
When I was little I did not really seem to notice ads but I do remember seeing those ice cold drinks in Pepsi commercials and how they could change my mood.
Lawyer Up
I was not even aware that advertising was a major. I was thinking about becoming a lawyer. My role now has aspects of negotiation in it so it is a pretty fun way to mesh what I wanted to be, without having to go to court every day!
Falling into Advertising
I felt there was a calling for my personality here. I really liked the hustle and bustle of New York City, so I wanted to find a job here. Truthfully, I really did fall into advertising.
Finding People & Opportunities
The inspiration and the people that you surround yourself with here gives you the drive and motivation you need. In terms of career opportunities, New York and especially advertising held a lot more growth opportunities for me.
A More United NewFront
In one week or so the NewFronts showcase everything that we need to know about what is coming up for the year. And it coincides with the linear Upfronts so it really helps the teams who had to plan disparately in the past.
Gathering in the Same Room
The NewFronts commitment is tied into the Upfront commitment. We can work in a more cohesive manner because we now have the TV and linear broadcast teams in the room at the same time as the digital folks so that we can really carve out what makes sense to invest in for the upcoming year.
An Art Showcase
Sometimes I find myself down in Chelsea on the weekends when I have time to look at the art galleries. We are so lucky and fortunate to have some of the best artists in the world come to showcase their art here. That is one of the greatest things to take advantage of in New York City.
Culinary Inspiration
I’m really into food and New York City has an abundance of multicultural chefs coming here from all over the world. Food is a different type of creativity and mindset, and I think seeing all the different chefs with their different point of views is another way to find inspiration.
