My Best Advice Ever
I took a media planning class as an undergrad and got so into it that my professor pulled me aside and said ‘Hey, maybe you should consider media planning as a career.’ Hands down, that was the best piece of advice I ever received.
Seeing the Other Side
I just moved to the East village. There is so much diversity that I’m always trying to take it in and see the world how other people are seeing it.
An Immediate Connection
I speak Portuguese and that has tuned me into the fact that walking down the street I might hear four different languages on the way to the train. Whenever I hear people speaking Portuguese, it is an immediate connection with them.
Listening for Why
I think the way a brand speaks to someone via content is interesting, and I always try and understand why people resonate with it.
What I Expect to Hear at My First NewFronts
I’m really interested in hearing how, as people stop watching linear TV but continue to watch more hours of content, that will change the way we approach them.
What I’ll be Watching Out For
TV is at a really interesting inflection point where if it’s not this year, it’s next year that something big is going to change.
Looking at the Audio Space
No one is really talking about audio, yet you have things like podcasts and broadcast audio that aren’t being folded into the measurement in that same way, so I will be looking for someone talking about something new in that space.
Enjoying the Green Spaces
I used to live across the street from Prospect Park and now I go up to Central Park. I’m looking for anywhere where I can just lay on the grass. That is how I recharge.
