Starting with Communications
I was a communication studies major, which was really about understanding how different groups of people ultimately communicate.
Windy City Digital
I moved to Chicago and interviewed at a lot of places, but when I arrived at this big, beautiful building overlooking the water on West Wacker Drive, I knew that I wanted to work right there at Starcom.
A Big Learning Curve
My communication studies background was not super-specific to media, but I fell into digital media quite quickly, and decided that it was for me.
NewFronts Attendance
Since 2012. I like the new entrants every year and that there is always some buzz around what they are going to be talking about and what we are going to see.
What I Expect to See at the 2019 NewFronts
The blurring of the lines between digital video, linear video and OTT; how those pieces are coming together, and the advertising opportunities that will come out of this for our clients.
What to Stay For
Vice. I do not know if they are going to be able to beat the live boxing match I attended a few years ago!
Where I Unwind in the City
I’m just a couple blocks from the water. Going down on the West Side Highway, finding a little patch of grass or a bench. If I hear a bird chirping that’s winning!
Why I Love New York
I live in the West Village and I am very lucky I can walk down Hudson Street to my office. When the trees are in bloom and people are out and the weather is warm, New York feels like the center of the universe.
