IAB Tech Lab to Hold Town Hall Series on Ad Blocking and LEAN Ads Principles

First of Three Town Halls Will Take Place at the IAB Ad Operations Summit in New York City on Monday 11/2

The IAB Technology Laboratory (IAB Tech Lab) will host a series of international town halls around ad blocking to obtain feedback and guidance for its LEAN Ads principles. The first town hall will be held next Monday, November 2, as part of the IAB Ad Operations Summit in New York City. This morning session at the conference will provide an open forum for conversation on ad blocking and the LEAN principles, which were announced on October 15. LEAN stands for Light, Encrypted, Ad choice supported and Non-invasive ads. The principles aim to optimize user experience to address the industry’s ad blocking challenge.

Two additional town halls in San Francisco and London will take place later in November. The London town hall will be hosted by IAB UK.

These town halls will provide direct input to the IAB Tech Lab working groups that are currently laying the ground work for global advertising standards creation and execution around the LEAN principles.

All IAB and IAB Tech Lab members are encouraged to participate. To learn more, please contact [email protected].
