David Grimaldi, Executive Vice President of Public Policy, IAB, was elected to the Board of Trustees of The Media Institute at the board’s annual meeting on December 7 in Washington. He manages the IAB Washington office and oversees the staff and strategy of IAB policy and international teams, as well as the IAB Technology Lab and Education Foundation. Grimaldi came to IAB from Pandora Media, where he served as its Director of Public Affairs. He opened Pandora’s D.C. office in May 2014.
In previous positions, Grimaldi served as chief of staff to FCC Commissioner Mignon Clyburn; senior counsel to House Majority Whip James E. Clyburn of the U.S. House of Representatives; principal of The Raben Group; and legislative counsel to Rep. Ed Towns (N.Y.-10).
The Media Institute’s Board of Trustees is comprised of representatives from the broadcasting, cable, digital, telecom, and consumer electronics industries, as well as communications attorneys. The board is chaired by former FCC chairman Richard E. Wiley, senior partner of Wiley Rein in Washington, D.C.
