Please join IAB on Monday, 4/3 (1-3pm PT, 4-6pm ET) to learn more about exciting plans in 2017 to deepen and restructure work within its data and automation-oriented groups. IAB will be hosting members simultaneously in both our San Francisco and NYC offices – bridged in real time –for a bi-coastal discussion on the need for a new council/committee structure, how existing work will continue, upcoming projects, and how best to stay engaged with the groups that matter most to you.
Why the changes? We want to appropriately reflect the outsized importance that data and automation now have in the businesses of IAB member companies. The Data Council, Programmatic Council, and Performance Marketing Committee will be re-shaped into six new functional areas – Identity & Audience Data, Data Benchmarks & Activation, Publisher Automation, Buyer Automation, Measurement & Attribution, and Consumer Experience – that collectively streamline and acutely focus IAB work on key marketplace needs. These groups will be cross-disciplinary in nature and work closely with IAB Mobile, Video, Tech Lab, Research, and Public Policy groups to provide coordination and oversight of topics that are critical across channels, formats, and other specialized areas.
The meeting agenda will include updates on how IAB is approaching identity work, the evolution of measurement and attribution plans, as well as data hygiene and benchmarking. Specific agenda items will be provided in the coming weeks.
