IAB Welcomes Passage of the Judicial Redress Act

Congress

February 11, 2016 – Dave Grimaldi, Executive Vice President of Public Policy at the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), today issued the following statement in response to the passage of the Judiciary Redress Act.

“The U.S. has responded to the concerns of the European Court of Justice and shown its seriousness in developing a robust Privacy Shield that can stand up to future legal challenges.”

“IAB commends Congress for passing this vital legislation which will help ensure that the thousands of businesses that rely on transferring data across the Atlantic can continue to operate. Today’s vote demonstrates the United States’ commitment to privacy, and the citizens of our closest allies can rest assured that they will receive the same robust privacy protections enjoyed by U.S. citizens under the Privacy Act.”
